The Disabled Motorcyclists Association have teamed up with HMP Haverigg in Cumbria, Garth Prison in Preston, and Wellingborough HMP, along with the Insideout Trust to provide motorcycle engineering for young offenders and prison inmates. We are providing donated bikes for them to revamp and then we can sell them on with the profits going back into the charity after the bikes have been MOT'd.

The Insideout Trust are providing support with funds to obtain the parts needed to revamp the bikes and are keen to work with the DMA. The Trust already works with many prisons and they see this as a natural progression.

We have also received help from education and skills unit under the "Community Champions" fund. The grant will go towards the hiring of the van, which will be used to collect the bikes. We have also received funding from Lloyds TSB Foundation towards the costs of the project.

If you would like to donate an unwanted bike and would like to put it to good or or purchase a bike then please contact us and we will be happy to take it from you as long as it does not need to much revamping. If you you would like to know what bikes are ready for sale then contact the office. We will also be placing the bikes that are ready for re-sale on this page in future, so keep a look out!

Anyone who would like to donate their unwanted bike or scooter should contact the DMA on 0161 833 8817 or email general@thedma.org.uk
